A portable four station Nickel Cadmium Battery charger for Charging/Maintaining radio batteries of Military HF Radio. The development of this model are the efforts of Nutek in the area of import substitution and indigenization. This field usable charger will charge NiCd batteries 12v/4AH in a controlled manner and is designed using embedded microcontroller.
A portable two station intelligent charger for Lithium Ion batteries of Military VHF radios. This charger caters for four types of LiIOn batteries with a fool proof bar code sensing technology that automatically programs the charger for the required rate and time for charging the batteries using CC-CV mode algorithm. It supports both regular charging and maintenance mode and operates on both AC as well as DC input.
A portable Combo charger that works for both NiMh & LiIon batteries. Designed to charge two HHTI batteries of 12v/ and 14.4/ . The Float Cum Boost Charger (FCBC) unit has been designed to provide online DC output to load at all times. It is an efficient system that encompasses user friendly features for operation. The FCBC provides a constant DC output voltage of 48V with current rating of 45A. It operates in the input range of 185 V to 265 VAC or DC supply of 48V. The DC source of range 44 - 56V is always connected to the unit. The unit has built in protection for input under voltage, over voltage for both AC, DC inputs and also short circuit , over voltage protection for output. The unit has a 2x16 LCD, keypad, LEDs, buzzer on the front panel for user friendly operations. The unit is housed in standard 19” rack of 3U size.

A DC supply of range 42V – 56V is always connected to the unit’s DC input. The AC-DC adaptor has been specifically designed to provide five independent outputs of 24V@10A – three, 24V@1A one and 5V@1A one. It has individual connectors for AC mains input and all DC Outputs. The adaptor is designed to meet the environmental specifications as per JSS55555 (L2A). The AC-DC adaptor is a compact system housed in a 19” rack mount aluminum metal casing. The unit accepts 220 V AC Mains input and delivers the required outputs. The unit has built in protection for input under voltage, over voltage for AC and short circuit protection for output ports.

The miniprinter MP4085B is a 40 character thermal printer which can be used for printing alphanumeric messages. The semi ruggedized printer is a compact field unit which can be used in the modern battlefield for printing tactical messages. It provides noiseless operation and helps in obtaining hard copies of messages plain as well as cipher text. The printer uses thermo sensitive paper and operates with four AA size cells.
Portable Data Terminals & Map display unit
These terminals are compact field unit with TFT LCD display, built in battery with keyboard and touch screens. They can be customized to the user requirements in terms of communication ports and protocols. They also come with optional Map Engine software and applications of providing Situational Awareness in the Battlefield. These units have optional plug and play data modem for connecting to tactical radios.
Field 2 Line Modem
This high-performance two line Field modem is fully self-contained with on-board data pumps and modem controllers. The unit features include AC and DC working with internal battery which supports field working up to 8 hours. No disruption of data communications with auto changeover from ext supply to internal battery. Supports data communications with error control and auto line negotiation over 10km leased line. BITE facility to test the Field modem unit for loop back and other tests. For larger distances the two line field modem could be used as a repeater.
RACK 4Line Modem
This high-performance four line Modem 19” rack mountable unit is used in shelter to connect remote field line modems and achieve remote data connectivity in leased line over a distance of 10Kms. Auto line negotiation and built in test facility with AC as well as external DC working.
 
Media Converter Field Version
This media converter field version enables to establish link between data and optical ports. It has one Ethernet 10/100Mbps data port and one multichannel optical port. This provides optical wavelength of 1310/1550 single mode and power budget of 20dB. The unit is housed in a portable ABS case. The unit can be powered with AC mains or can work from internal LiIOn battery to provide power to the media converter during mains failure. The in situ charger charges the internal battery when working on Mains. The media converter can be used to extend the data link through fiber media and enables remote access of Ethernet data by rugged portable computers in the field by extending the Ethernet port. The data port can be extended to approx 40km by using this media converter.
Position locator and Reporting Terminal
These compact terminals with built in GPS and radio interfaces enable position information in MGRS or IGRS format to be displayed as well as transmitted on tactical radios to the central monitoring station. This provides Situational awareness to the commander in the battle field. They also have feature to transmit or receive short preformatted messages.
Optical & Radio Gateways

Optical Gateways enable multiple communication ports to be extended over the optical fiber and provide seamless communication between them. The communication ports requirements could be multiple serial ports, digital signals, audio and video. Radio Gateways enable connection of data to tactical radios in a data network. It comes with two radio ports with selection of forward or rear network and data modems that get connected to the radio in synchronous or asynchronous mode. It has also an optional GPS receiver to locate the position and transmit on the network.

Operator Intercom Unit is used in ECCM applications to provide multiple communication facilities to the operator while carrying his monitoring tasks. The object of the system is to provide Line Communication amongst many who are required to communicate with each other in accomplishing the task of monitoring the radio receivers. This unit is a compact ruggedized unit designed in 19”rack version in 2U height with keyboard and 4 line VFD display with friendly user interface for selection of various modes.
Operator audio interface unit (OPAIU) is also used in ECCM applications to provide audio routing and intercom facilities to the operators while monitoring the input radio receivers. The unit is designed in 19” rack version in 1U height with keyboard and LCD display.
Primary use of these 19” rack version system is to connect seamlessly receive/transmit audios from three HF/VHF radio systems on to the operator depending on his selection from the front panel keyboard. The unit with built in speaker enables a single operator to monitor and control three radios for speech communication. This was specially envisaged for use in radio data networks where voice is used sparingly but monitored regularly for engineering purposes.
TELEPHONE PATCH UNIT/RADIO TELEPHONE INTERFACE UNIT

The unit provides a trouble free connectivity between a radio system and telephone or other two wire line. The unit is suitable for use with HF,VHF,UHF or satellite systems and is capable of working in half duplex mode.It has built in telephone interface with handset and also a radio interface with a monitor speaker. The user friendly front panel interface with hot keys and visual indication would enable the operator to patch and establish communication between remote radio user and a telephone user or vice versa. In semi automatic mode the telephone user is automatically connected to remote radio user after few rings by automatic pick up of the line call by the phone patch unit.

These units are offered in two versions- Field version which is compact in size and can be carried in field and rack version 19inch 2U unit to be fitted inside radio communication shelters.

RAICS- RUGGED AUDIO INTERCOM SYSTEMS

These units configured as MASTER and SLAVE enable intercom connections between three or four entities connected using two wire line. They can be connected in STAR mode at around 1KM distances and will provide clear noise and echo free communications among themselves. These units form part of Missile launch vehicle and other connected vehicles for providing intercom facility between these vehicles.
